Quick Overview

HRP AffiPure Goat anti-Rabbit IgG Fc, 1.0 mg, is suitable for ELISA and Western blotting techniques. The IgG component of this conjugate is specific for normal rabbit serum IgG and is non-reactive with other serum proteins. Each vial contains 1.0 mg IgG conjugated to 2-4 HRP enzymes per IgG molecule. The conjugate is dissolved in a Tris-based conjugate stabilization buffer containing 50 ppm ProClin 300 anti-microbial agent.
AffiPure HRP Goat anti-Rabbit IgG, Fc specificity, 1.0 mg per vial
Antibody Production Summary
Goats were immunized with a purified preparation of rabbit IgG Fc fragment that was obtained from a purified normal rabbit IgG antibody protein pool. The hyperimmune IgG fraction was initially solid phase adsorbed to obtain class specificity. Subsequently, the anti-Fc antibody was adsorbed to and eluted from a second solid phase immunoaffinity purification gel containing covalently coupled rabbit IgG Fc protein.

HRP Conjugation Summary
Affinity purified, anti-rabbit IgG Fc specific goat IgG was covalently coupled with HRP using a maleimide (M)- facilitated conjugation technique. In this process, free sulfhydryl groups are added to the anti-rabbit IgG Fc prep just prior to its reaction with a 4 fold molar excess of HRP-M. This process leads to an IgG-HRP conjugate that contains between 2 and 4 HRP molecules per IgG molecule.

Specificity Summary
Using ELISA and IEP analysis techniques, the IgG component of this conjugate was specific for normal rabbit serum IgG and was non-reactive with other serum proteins. This conjugate is suitable for ELISA and Western blotting analysis techniques.

Stability
This IgG-HRP anti-Rabbit IgG conjugate should retain its effective activity for at least 1 year when stored at 2-8° C.
