FLIVO & FLICA Related to Eye Disease Series 4:

Eye disease, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, and macular degeneration, is affecting more and more people around the world and is of great interest to researchers.

ImmunoChemistry Technologies offers multiple assays that enable researchers to study ocular disease in living cultured ocular cells in vitro (FLICA), and in whole animals in vivo (FLIVO). These assays measure changes in the levels of apoptosis and cell death in cells including retinal tissues, corneal cells, and animal eyes. Ultimately, these assays enable researchers to obtain a better understanding of events associated with apoptosis and cell death related to eye disease, drug treatments, and other experimental conditions which may lead to better treatment options.

In this webinar, we’ll explore the mechanisms of cell death in eye disease and highlight several studies that used ICT’s assays to gain a better understanding of these events in ocular disease.
